Children's Book Reading & Boat Mobile Arts & Crafts
Saturday March 23 - 3pm-4:30pm
Bring your young ones for an afternoon of fun at the club with local children’s book author Jeanne Walker Harvey. Jeanne will be on hand to read her latest book “Boats on the Bay” and will lead the kids in a fun arts and craft project where they can build their own mobile. Jeanne is an award winning author of several children’s books and “Boats on the Bay” was inspired by the daily parade of vessels that inhabit her own front yard, the beautiful San Francisco Bay
Harvey, an award winning author of several picture books, lives in Sausalito where she watches all the boats which was the inspiration for the book “Boats on the Bay.” A large-format picture book buoyed by a lyrical text, the book features a spectacular double-spread gatefold finale showing a boat parade and fireworks glowing against a city backdrop.
