Oh my! What a fun morning reading BOATS ON THE BAY and sharing the backstory of the book to 4 classes of adorable and inquisitive kindergarteners at Malcolm X School in Berkeley. And to walk up to the front of the school and be greeted with these wonderful boat drawings was such a special surprise! And thank you to Mrs. Dalloways and the amazing librarian at Malcolm X School for hosting me!
What a fun community event to share BOATS ON THE BAY book and create paper boat mobiles with families who stopped by Umpqua Bank at the wonderful event co-organized with nearby Christopher's Books.
